Re No 91 there- I had a chat last week with one of the new pupils at school, first time we'd met. She pointed out of the classroom window to the field and asked me if I could see her friend. I said no ( " but my eyesight isn't that great!") to which, after a few more mins of changing my position, screwing my eyes up and scratching my head, she told me " She's my imaginary friend Miss!". Ok, so that would be why then, I thought.
She then continued to tell me that her friend ( Lola) had entered the classroom and I was standing on her toes!
so then, thinking I was doing the sensitive and politically correct thing, I apologised to Lola, only to be told by the pupil " you're mad Miss!".

Talking of rudeness, I had one boy in class yesterday who produced the middle finger, Nazi salute and a tirade of every foul piece of language you could think of....in my RE lesson lol. Being the sympathetic soul that I am I wrote in my report " maybe needs an investigation into Tourette's"

And yes, I do teach RE too. I can switch from gonorrhea to Ganesh in the blink of an eye. Problem is, the kids don't notice!

He sounds like a keeper! Trouble is, it is his type that is reproducing at the moment, while the more stable, intelligent types are not. Don't you just long for the times of my school days Kat where he could be thrashed?
