We are always told using boiling water scalds the beans, which makes the brew taste bitter and burnt, so that's why you use water at 92 degrees. Interesting. Will give it a try.

I think the 'Go fuck Yourself' interpretation is based on a sarcastic slant and use of the phrase, which is widely accepted to be positive. We also use the phrase 'Bully for you' in exactly the same way.
